Day Very Strong, Clark in Decline

Newly chosen Alliance party leader Stockwell Day would win handily in a potential by-election in Calgary Centre almost irrespective of his competition. Day would win in a direct contest against Clark and would win even if the Liberals fielded no candidate. Clark would do poorly not just because of Day’s strength but also because his own popularity in the riding is down.
