The Canadian public is strongly supportive of a free flow of goods and services across the Canada-U.S. border but is sharply divided about a possible free flow of people, according to a National Post/COMPAS a poll conducted August 17-20. Almost two-thirds (64%) favour at least “somewhat,” if not largely or completely, a free flow of goods or services while 31% are opposed. In the case of the free flow of people, support falls to 48% and opposition rises to 49%. |
