Job Creation and the Economy - Undaunted Optimism:

CIBC/Chamber Weekly CEO/Business Leader Poll by COMPAS in the Financial Post

In the week following the announcement of the largest employment increase in Canadian history, the vast majority of business leader respondents in the weekly web-survey are amazingly bullish about virtually all aspects of the current economy, job creation, and prospects for the future.

The single strongest element accounting for current success is also the most critical factor assuring future growth—low interest rates. Other factors critical to future growth are expected decreases in personal and corporate taxes, and new governance rules to forestall accounting chicanery.

These are the key findings from the current web-survey of CEOs and other business leaders conducted by COMPAS on behalf of the National Post under sponsorship of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and CIBC.
