Canada’s CEOs and business leaders are less optimistic about the economy today than they were last year with a majority believing that the economy will remain about the same or become somewhat worse in the next six months. The proportion of personal investments by business leaders in the stock market has diminished somewhat since last year and the year before despite increased confidence that the worst of the stock market melt down is over.

These are the key findings from the current web-survey of CEOs and other business leaders conducted by COMPAS on behalf of the National Post under sponsorship of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
