Business leaders support a strong Canadian dollar and in fact would like it to rise in value further. They support a strong dollar primarily because it encourages Canadian industry to become more competitive internationally. However, they see the current strengthening of the dollar as of a sluggish economy in the United States as opposed to domestic factors.

These are the key findings from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce sponsored Financial Post/COMPAS weekly survey of business leaders and CEOs.
