Bloc Landslide in a Purely Party Contest

Bloc Québecois candidate Nicole Demers is expected to win an absolute majority of the vote, according to a COMPAS riding poll (N=300) conducted for the National Post, Global Television, and Montreal Gazette. Liberal Party candidate Pierre Lafleur is far behind with 34% of the decided vote compared to 52% for Demers, as shown in table 1. Conservative Party candidate Stéphane d’Amours trails with 11% of the decided vote.
