Westerners Moderately Opposed to the Resolution,
Not Convinced It Will Slay the Separatist Dragon
The initial response of Western Canadians to the proposed Parliamentary resolution is one of doubtfulness. Surveyed prior to Parliament’s passing of the resolution, a small majority opposed the resolution in each western province. The ratio of opposition to support differs little across the west except insofar as it may seem marginally higher in the Prime Minister’s home province, as shown in table 1. (See complete poll)
