The University Hospitals Kingston Foundation engaged COMPAS Research to conduct an objective, representative survey among residents of Kingston and the surrounding areas to elicit their views about local financial support for the local hospitals. The survey was carried out by professional interviewers using Computer-Assisted Telephone technology in the latter half of September. Approximately half of the sample of 320 adults were interviewed because they reside within the city. The remaining half were interviewed because they reside in the neighbouring service area.

By convention, samples of n=320 are deemed accurate to within approximately 6 percentage points 19 times out of 20. By convention, each half sample would be deemed accurate to within approximately 8 percentage points 19 times out of 20.
