COMPAS Poll/Survey

Members of the COMPAS business panel report a sharp decline in the acceptance of alcohol in business settings. The CEOs and business leaders on the panel would accept the use of alcohol primarily for major holidays and with clients outside of business hours. The two main impediments to accepting the use of alcohol are legal and public relations risks. When the use of alcohol is permitted, for example with a client after hours, the panelists set a limit of one or two drinks at most. These are the key findings from this past week’s Internet survey of CEOs and business leaders on the COMPAS panel. The weekly business survey is undertaken for Canadian Business magazine under sponsorship of BDO. |
