Ontario Premier Ernie Eves has been chastised for indecisiveness on Hydro One and perhaps other issues. To the extent that he may be indecisive on the issue of the privatization of Hydro One, he would seem to be reflecting the mood of Canadian business leaders, who are divided, uncertain, and perplexed by the issue. That sense of uncertainty is reflected not only in their middling responses throughout the survey about Hydro One and the directions of the Ontario government but also in their volunteered opinions.
Those are the key findings from the survey of business leaders including CEOs conducted by COMPAS for the Financial Post under sponsorship of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and CIBC.
