Spam - Unsolicited Emails and Phone Calls
Chamber Weekly CEO/Business Leader Poll by COMPAS in the Financial Post

Canadian business leaders strongly support government regulation of spam email activity. According to most respondents, spam emails represent serious economic costs to business in Canada and are detrimental to the good of our society.

The recent introduction of a national “do-not-call list” in the United States has prompted some discussion about possible similar action in Canada. Canadian business leaders would probably be receptive to such actions, as most respondents tend to believe that government should be doing more to regulate telemarketing activity.

These are the key findings from the COMPAS/Financial Post business leader survey conducted under the sponsorship of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
