Eligibility
To be eligible for the RDSP, individuals must be:
English / Français
    1. Under the age of 60;
    2. A Canadian resident with a Social Insurance Number (SIN); and
    3. Eligible for the Disability Tax Credit

The British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Northwest Territories governments have announced that they will fully exempt RDSPs when calculating an individual’s eligibility for provincial/territorial disability assistance.

Nunavut and Yukon governments have changed their regulations to fully exempt RDSPs when calculating an individual’s eligibility for provincial disability assistance.
